Anatsui’s work titled ‘Lanh’ was sold at N13.2million ($82, 500) at the 10^th edition of Arthouse Contemporary art auction which took place at the Wheatbaker Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos on Monday 13th May 2013. The estimated price was N12million to N15million. ‘Lanh’ is a 2003 work made of emulsion paint and gouache on wooden panels.  El Anatsui still remains a collector’s delight as his work top the list of the most expensive work sold at the auction. ‘Lanh’ was sold at this hammer price because Anatsui no longer works with wood as a medium.
