Dalmore Affinity: N15m Limited Edition Whisky

Here is good news for lovers and collectors of rare whiskies– highland distillery, The Dalmore, has created another bottle that will surely ignite hot competition among collectors, Dalmore Affinity. According to reports, Dalmore whiskies have broken many records at auction in the past.
Dalmore Affinity was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Singapore’s independence. The whisky is the result of a painstaking barrel selection process masterminded by the distillery’s renowned master distiller, Richard Paterson. It showcases some of the distillery’s oldest and finest whisky.
According to a report by FT’s How To Spend It, the whiskey spent 48 years in white American oak ex-bourbon casks with a further two and a half years in Matusalem oloroso sherry butts. And so, this single malt is the ultimate expression of maturity and finesse, with a rich, complex palate of caramel, orange, cherries and chocolate ganache.
Dalmore Affinity comes as a limited edition of just one crystal decanter. Mounted with a solid silver stag and housed in a wooden presentation case by celebrated interiors company Linley, it will be on display at the Hotel Michael in Singapore from Sunday July 26 for three weeks. Price: N15, 341, 677.90 (£49,720).
