Lovers of refined home lighting will surely find the summer 2015 lighting collection of Hudson Valley Lighting, a part of Littman Brands and first U.S. manufacturer of classic and transitional lighting fixtures with roots in famous and ornamental design, interesting. This charming collection was unveiled in June at the 2015 International Lighting Market in Dallas, United States.

In the new collection, Hudson Valley has for the first time included crystal bead-work in creative applications which makes the entire collection unique.

Most of the pieces in the collection showcase the company’s new European-inspired designs as they bring to mind old Hollywood glamour, while some other pieces offer architectural designs in interesting shapes and mixed materials.

Spanning different style from traditional to modern to contemporary, the new collection stick to Hudson Valley Lighting’s impeccable craftsmanship using a combination of traditional and modern materials, including acrylic, crystal, blown glass, cast metalwork and glass mirrors.

With more than 400 designs in the collection, it is a combination of exquisite chandeliers and exceptional pendants, sconces and flush mounts are the perfect choice for residential, retail, office and hospitality specifications.

Some of the pieces come in delicate, curved arms and unique blown glass shades evoking wine vessels. Longmont is a design that epitomizes balance and poise. Using an Italian technique not known by many, artisans inlay thin strands of brass in molten glass while blowing it into shape. Embedded within, the nearly dissolved brass strands create bubbles that glow with secret warmth once illuminated.
Some of the pieces available are:

Deyo’s sculptural form is as eye-catching

Deyo
Artfully modern, Deyo’s sculptural form is as eye-catching as it is ingenious. While the wide-body drum shade showcases mid-century swank, we create a fresh design by suspending the shade from uniquely counterpoised metalwork.

Washington’s crafted glassware are balanced by its pristine clarity

Washington
At once ornate and ethereal, the detailed turns of Washington’s crafted glassware are balanced by its pristine clarity. To create this elaborate shape, a skilled artisan works molten glass into a special form called a “paste mold,” which is simultaneously turned by an assistant. With careful timing, comes a seamless piece of beautifully figured glasswork. Washington’s revolutionary style pays fitting homage to its namesake.

A lavish span of finely gathered natural silk enwraps the warm glow of Hastings pendant

Hasting
A lavish span of finely gathered natural silk enwraps the warm glow of Hastings pendant. The gathered quality of the rich material’s soft pleating is emphasized by the contrasting smoothness of the shade’s cast metal rings. Reeded arms echo the silk’s fine details and bring aesthetic unity to the collection’s indulgent features.
