‘Return Of The Don’ Hits Cinemas In March

The film, ‘Return of the Don’ directed by multi-award winning director, Malcolm Benson ,will hit the cinemas on March 31, 2017.

‘Return of the Don’ tells the story of ethnic minority group in charge and in top police ranks in the UK police force, where white men dominate. The film takes the audience on a journey of the youth gun crime and mob culture of Britain just as it exposes the secret gang’s culture and its attendant negative impact on young people used by mafia gang leaders for criminal activities.

Speaking at the media premiere of the movie on Tuesday at the Silverbird Cinemas, Ikeja, Benson said the film made a historic success at the London BFI IMAX cinema when it was officially released.

“The Box Office result showed that at the London Open weekend, ‘Return of the Don’ went straight to number 23 in all the UK Box Office chart having sold its entire ticket before the event. We are expecting an equally huge successful outing in Nigeria. It has been an interesting job filming and working with an amazing cast and crew,” he explained.

With a mixed cast of white and black British and African actors and actresses like Monalinda Chinda as commander Caparro, Steve McTigue as Jack Ackerman, Paul Van Beaumont as Charlie Reid among other great actors, Return of the Don has won over 20 Film Festival Awards.

Eregoba Sylvia Akoh who is in charge of marketing and distribution in Nigeria said the film is distributed by Metro Classic Pictures. “Return of the Don will run at various cinemas including all Silverbird Cinema locations in Lagos, Abuja, Uyo and Film House cinema in Lagos, Ibadan, Calabar, Asaba, Genesis Deluxe and Ozone Cinema at Yaba, Lagos.”
