The new collection is bringing back the female power dressing in the boardroom as we know it in the 1980s. The designs in Sain Laurent collection is a recreation of the high powered, corporate amazon return in all her assertive glory.
Saint Laurent, where creative director Anthony Vaccarello recreates these styles by carefully curated women down the runway in angular styled suit jackets. It was all about big-shouldered jackets and neat pencil skirts. The matching skirts were tightened with belts and slit up the front to reflect the 1980s sensation. The designs were paired with sheer black tights and boardroom pumps.
